Online Registration

Ok,

Started my online registration about a week ago.  I think the registration opened for foreign graduates a week before Easter.  I can't remember now but I know that I could not register immediately because once you click on the registration form, the first box you are confronted with is to choose a date you would like to physically like to attend Abuja to present your documents...Sounds confusing?  Ok let me explain




You basically get to input your basic details online on the nysc website (just type nysc nigeria into google).  Click on the online registration for foreign graduates
It will then ask you to input basic details like your previous schools, results etc.  You also get to "scan" a passport photograph, university certificates and transcripts, waec results, and passport details (showing date first left nigeria and leave to study abroad, and your bio data page).  After you upload all the documents, you are given a registration number.

I have scanned all my documents onto this form.  A week later, I get an email from nysc asking me to re-upload my passport photograph.  I don't really know specially what was wrong with the last one as I have logged back in and my passport is showing.  It's difficult as they have not said what the problem is.  But I guess, I'm dealing with Nigerians sha so I must imploy a lot of patience (my very weak point but I need to start learning...fast fast ooo).

So that is my task for this week.  To upload it all properly.

Anyways, when I tried to register before Easter, I could only choose an appointment date up to end of April to attend Abuja in person and orientation course is not till August (NYSC Batch B is starting a little late this year - 2014).
You then have to physically take all the documents you scanned to Abuja with you.

I dont think I want to stay there for 4 months after registration. I would like to go as close to the orientation course date so I exercised a little patience (I'm a fast learner).
Clicked on in May and got appointment dates in June so I've chose the last date available in June...I dont know why they cant give you the option up to 14 July which is the actual date foreign registration finishes.

Anyways 1 and half months is better than 4 months sha.
Till then, need to sort out an affidavit in the courts to explain why my 3 middles names appear (or not) and are spelt differently from my passport to my University and Waec certificate.  Na wah oooo
